87degree April Spring Day. 2012

Night train

Unable to find ease keeps me awake. Sitting on the tracks looking out the window, a huge black cloud with volts of lightning and thunder heads our direction on unexpected. As a dad always bearing the weight, anchoring. A twister left us a wreck. I shall find strength beyond all means to stand and lift my little girl on to my shoulders, so she can see the end of storm as the sunshine begins to peek. It’s there! Tell daddy you see it. I’ll carry you off these tracks to where a shadow is behind us and the warmth of the sun is the beginning.
